REALISTIC FICTION

Unit Overview

In this unit I have learned and practiced the process of planning and drafting of realistic fiction. I have been thinking of the story ideas, and practiced the techniques of writing in my Writer’s Notebook. For example writing effective dialogue, using elaboration, crafting strong leads and conclusions, etc. My final work was a published Realistic Fiction story.

Enduring Understanding

    • The step that I should follow are planning, drafting, revising and editing.

Strengths

Writing Text Types and Purposes: Write a realistic fiction story with an interesting lead, organized plot, developed characters, transitions, elaboration, dialogue, and a satisfying conclusion.I think my strengths is adapting the old story into the new story because I have used the story that I know then change it into my version.

Areas for Improvement

Knowledge of Language and Vocabulary Use: Choose words that express ideas precisely, eliminating redundancy; demonstrate use of figurative language and word nuances. I think I should improve my dialog to be more emotion like shouting and whisper. I also need to improve my story so it will more interesting.
