   Why did you select these two pieces of work to showcase in your portfolio? Explain.

 

  I select these two pieces which is Backpack Position Paragraph and West Africa Country Research. I chose the Backpack Position Paragraph because I think I did a very good job on it and it is fun to do it. I chose the West Africa Country because I like to do the research about West Africa because I don't very know anything about West Africa, I also like to make a presentation.

   Area of strength: Which standard was your strength and why?

 

  I think the : Adds various types of supporting evidence in support of a position or point of view (including visual) is the standard that I am strenght at because in every project I have add lots of picture to capture and explain my information. For example the Backpack Position Paragraph I have add the picture to capture my position, and for the West Afica I have add picture in the presentaion to explain more. 

 

   Area of growth: Which standard needs improvement and how can you improve for the future?

 

  I think the : Uses multiple sources to gather, identify, analyze, summarize, and evaluate information is the standard that I need to improve because when I am doing the project sometime I don't very get the information so it make me very difficult to use it in the new ways. For example in the West Afirca presentation some of my information look confuse because some of it I make it in the new way alredy but it didn't have the same meaning as the old information. I will improve by reading the infomation clearly and tries to summarize the main ideas and I will get better in the future. 

 

   Do you feel that you are learning in social studies class? Explain.

 

  I feel that I have learn a lot of things in Social Studies. First I have learn how to write a position paragraph, Second I have learned about China especially The Tang and Song Achievements Presentation, Third I have learned about The Islam but we have focused on the Islamic Achievements, also in the Islamic thye have the 5 Pillars of Islam so I have a project the 5 Pillars of me. Finally I have learned about West Africa I have selected to work on Burkina Faso and made the presentation of it. I very enjoy learning in Social Studies class.
